"Pls join us this Friday eve, 7 PM, November 30, Tower Theater, for my monthly Viernes Culturales, Little Havana tour. This month's tour, "Cuban Memorial Blvd", will take us east on Calle Ocho past Domino Park and Along the Hispanic Walkway of Stars to SW 13 Ave., aka Cuban Memorial Blvd, where we will view the monuments to the Cuban exile presence in Miami, hear stories of the mysterious Ceiba tree, learn of the clandestine meeting between E.Howard Hunt, who headed Nixon's "Plumbers", and Eugenio Martinez, and observe a 1914 oolite and pine jewel, as well as the home of the prominent Atkins family. Returning to our starting point, we will view the home of Miami 's first mayor, John B. Reilly, as well as that of Federal Judge William Mehrtens. You will love this tour, one of a dozen I offer of Little Havana, as part of Viernes Culturales. And they are free.
I will have copies of two books I've written on Little Havana with me for signing and sale. Thx much. See you soon. P"
