Living in Little Havana in Miami is an amazing experience. We have blocks of mom and pop shops. Families and an amazing mix of cultures in just one place. Its amazing that both my kids get to experience the world experiences in just one place. I'm Come from refugee parents who met in South Florida and married in Miami. Its amazing to live and experience this place right now. To walk to Azucar and get an amazing icecream like Birthday Cake or see people still playing domino in some corner. These are priceless experiences. Get my favorite cocounut water at the Pinarenos is a blessing. Healthy foods right in the heart of Little Havana. Little Havana is no longer just a place that marks the history of Cuban exiles and a bunch of new Americans who grew up in the region. Its a place now with people from Honduras, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and many other places as well. I love the evolution of Little Havana and Miami. We all live, coexist and enjoy the best of each region right here in Little Havana. Its a place to experience the world right in the heart of Miami-Dade. As a little girl my uncle and godfather babysat me at the Amoco Perez Gas station that was on Calle Ocho . I got to come to Carnival and experience the mixes of Music for so many years of my childhood . Go to corner markets like Siglo on Calle Ocho as a child with my mother or go to La Caridad Supermarket with my Godfather on Sundays. This place is a place of love and memories. A place filled with lots of Love --- . Its a connection to the past and the roots of so many exiles and their descendants. Its a place of art and business . Its a place of love and family. Its my home again for the last 8 years. I love Miami. I love Little Havana. I created this site to bring to life those experiences and the amazing people ( mom and pop shops) which have amazing journeys in the area. Little Havana is one of the spots that makes Miami special and unique. A place to bring the best of so many places, evolve and move forward together ---- A place of love , family and roots. This is a unique place.
